    The OnePlus Buds Ace 2 features a low-power, high-performance chip, delivering up to 12 hours of single-use battery life and a total battery life of 43 hours. It supports OnePlus Fast Charging, providing 4 hours of music playback with just 10 minutes of charging. The earbuds are certified by TÜV Rheinland for high-performance noise cancellation, effectively reducing high and low-frequency noises in daily environments. They also support dual-microphone AI call noise cancellation for clear voice calls.

    OnePlus Buds Ace 2 Earbuds

    The OnePlus Buds Ace 2 earbuds are equipped with a 12.4mm dynamic driver and an upgraded BassWave 2.0 dynamic bass technology, which compensates for weak low frequencies in the original audio source. They support Bluetooth 5.4 with a latency as low as 47ms and feature dual-device connectivity, among other functions.

    We have previously disassembled the OnePlus products including: OnePlus Buds Pro 2, OnePlus Buds Ace, OnePlus Buds N, OnePlus Buds Pro, OnePlus Buds Z2, and OnePlus Buds Z. Below is a detailed teardown report of the OnePlus Buds Ace 2.

    01/ OnePlus Buds Ace 2 Charging Case Teardown

    After opening the charging case shell, the charging bin structure is removed. The bottom of the charging bin houses the motherboard and secures the battery.

    The motherboard and battery are extracted. Magnets are placed at the bottom of the charging bin to secure the earbuds, along with an iron rod aligned with the Hall sensor on the motherboard for the open-close connection function.

    The wires connecting the battery to the motherboard are disconnected.

    One side of the charging case motherboard circuit features metal domes at both ends for charging the earbuds.

    The WINSEMI WSDY3302B lithium battery protection IC provides overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection.

    A TVS diode marked “T18” for input overvoltage protection.

    The Cmsemicon CMS8S5880 microcontroller for charging case control.

    A Hall sensor marked “qH 4mE” detects magnetic field changes when the charging case is opened or closed, notifying the charging case MCU and earbuds to pair or disconnect with connected devices.

    The ETA ETA9030 PMU manages the charging and discharging of the built-in battery.

    The charging case contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, model: 761832B, rated capacity: 440mAh, rated energy: 1.68Wh, typical capacity: 450mAh 1.71Wh, charging limit voltage: 4.35V, nominal voltage: 3.80V, manufactured by Chongqing VDL Electronics Co., Ltd.


    02/ OnePlus Buds Ace 2 Earbuds Teardown

    The back cover of the earbud stem is opened, revealing the Bluetooth antenna and touch-detection patch inside. The left side shows the internal motherboard structure of the cavity.

    The FPC and charging contacts are disconnected, and the motherboard is removed.

    The BES BES2700IHC Bluetooth audio SoC supports dual-mode Bluetooth V5.4 for wireless connectivity and audio data processing.

    Disassemble the earbud head, revealing the battery and speaker unit inside.

    The battery is removed, exposing a cover plate that isolates the sound chamber.

    The earbud features a built-in soft-pack button battery, model: GF112570, capacity: 58mAh, sourced from Xinyu Ganfeng.

    The front side of the earbud speaker, featuring a titanium-coated diaphragm.

    Actual measurements show the speaker diameter is approximately 12.43mm.

    03/ Summary

    The OnePlus Buds Ace 2 charging case adopts a new-generation spray coating process, offering excellent wear resistance, scratch resistance, and resistance to fingerprints. It features a waterdrop-shaped earbud stem design with smooth, rounded edges. Each earbud weighs approximately 4.4g and comes with three silicone eartips for a comfortable and lightweight fit.

    The charging case is equipped with a 440mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The motherboard includes the WINSEMI WSDY3302B lithium battery protection IC for overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection. The ETA ETA9030 PMU manages battery charging and discharging, while the Cmsemicon CMS8S5880 microcontroller handles overall control.

    The earbuds feature a 12.4mm dynamic driver and a 58mAh battery. The motherboard includes two RAYKING MEMS microphones for voice calls and noise-canceling pickup. The BES BES2700IHC Bluetooth audio SoC handles wireless connectivity and audio data processing, and the WINSEMI WSDF2310B lithium battery protection IC ensures battery charging and discharging safety.
