    Appearance Design & Comfort Fit

Marshall Minor IV review: Both with texture and aesthetics

The Marshall Minor IV charging case has a lychee texture design and is made of polycarbonate. The front is a white Marshall logo with an indicator light above the logo. The edges of the charging case are rounded, which feels comfortable and can be easily put in a pocket. The bottom of the charging case has a USB-C interface and a physical button with a rotating texture on it.

Compared to other TWS earbuds, Minor IV is deeply embedded in the case, making it difficult to take out the earbuds.

The overall shape of the earbuds is similar to AirPods, with some differences in details. The M logo is printed on the outside of the earbud cavity, and the logo is also the touch control area. The surface of the cavity is made of semi-frosted material, which has a certain anti-slip effect. The inside of the cavity is equipped with an in-ear detection sensor and a pickup microphone hole.

Marshall Minor IV earbuds have been redesigned to fit the ear canal and auricle more closely, with even force distribution, so you won’t feel uncomfortable when wearing them for a long time. Plus, thanks to the lightweight design (a single earbud weighs only 4.2g) and ergonomic design, they are not noticeable when worn on the ears. They fit the skin well without putting pressure on the ears.

    Connection & App Support

The earbuds use Bluetooth 5.3 technology and supports SBC/AAC codec. When connecting for the first time, just select “MINOR IV” in the bluetooth device list of your phone to quickly connect. When you use it again, open the lid to automatically connect to the successfully paired bluetooth device.

Plus, Minor IV support multipoint connection and can connect mobile phone and computer at the same time.

After successfully connecting, you can set the function of the earbuds and view information in the Marshall Bluetooth App. The App interface is simple and clear, and there is no learning cost to use it.

In the app, you can check the battery level of the charging case and earbuds, and you can also select or customize the equalizer. The default equalizer is “Marshall Original”, and four different presets are provided: “Bass Boost”, “Mids Boost”, “Mids Weakened” and “Treble Boost”. Of course, a custom option is also provided, which can be adjusted in 160Hz, 400Hz, 1kHz, 2.5kHz and 6.25kHz.

Colls & Controls & Battery Life

Marshall Minor IV can effectively filter out ambient sound, accurately pick up vocals, suppress noise, and achieve clear and smooth voice calls. In the park environment, it effectively filters and reduces the sound of birdsong, wind, and the noise of the crowd. The vocals can remain clear and undisturbed.

Minor IV earbuds adopt a symmetrical touch control design, so that users can use either earbud to control music and calls, which is convenient and simple to operate. In the app, you can also choose to turn off the earbuds prompt sound and automatically play/pause.

    • Single-tap L or R earbud: play/pause music
    • Double-tap L or R earbud: next track
    • Triple-tap L or R earbud: previous track
    • Double-tap L or R earbud: answer/hang up call
    • Long press L or R earbud: reject call/
    • Long press L/R earbud: volume-/volume+ (customized)

After 5 days of actual use, the Marshall Minor IV has a good user experience, the touch control is sensitive, and the connection between the earbuds and the mobile phone is stable without disconnection and signal interference.

The earbuds last up to 7 hours on a single charge and up to 30+ hours in total. Plus, a 15-minute charge gives you about 3 hours of use. A full charge takes about 2 hours. The case charges using USB-C or Qi wireless charging.

    Sound Description

As a reflection of the brand’s history and tradition, Marshall signature sound provides users with a heritage listening experience and is loved and admired by fans. For fans, it is an emotional resonance and a reflection of their pure love for music.
