    Baseus AirGo AS01 is equipped with a 10mm large dynamic long-stroke speaker and supports Baseus bass enhancement technology and directional sound transmission technology. It provides surging sound effects while effectively suppressing sound leakage. Supports intelligent call noise cancelling to ensure clear call effects. Supports Bluetooth 5.3 and multipoint connection. It supports low-latency mode and fast charging function, with a single battery life of about 6 hours and a total battery life of about 25 hours.

Let’s take a look at the detailed teardown report of Baseus AirGo AS01.


    01/ Baseus AirGo AS01 Charging Case Teardown

    Disassemble the charging case shell and take out the charging bin structure.

    The front structure of the charging bin is fixed with an FPC connection indicator light, a connector for charging earbuds, and a Hall element.

    The motherboard is fixed at the bottom of the charging bin, the FPC is connected to the motherboard through a ZIF connector, and the battery wires are welded to the motherboard.

    Remove the screws and remove all components from the charging bin.

    The circuit on the side of the charging case motherboard.

    The circuit on the other side of the charging case motherboard.

    TPS SY8815 bluetooth headset charging bin solution integrates charging module and discharging module. The charging current can be adjusted externally. The discharge module integrates two output current-limiting switches, provides independent load presence detection and load insertion detection, and supports output current detection.

    SY8815 discharge enable control, MCU can flexibly control the chip’s discharge function directly through EN. SY8815 integrates a single-line status code output to facilitate the chip reporting chip status to the MCU. SY8815 is very suitable for the design of bluetooth headset charging bin, greatly simplifying the peripheral circuits and components, and providing a simple and easy-to-use solution for charging bin applications.

    The hall element with silk screen “AR3p7” is used to sense the magnetic field changes when the charging case lid is opened/closed, thereby notifying the charging case MCU and earbuds to pair or disconnect with the connected device.

    The charging case has a built-in lithium-ion battery, model number: 701835, rated capacity: 400mAh/1.48Wh, nominal voltage: 3.7V, charging limit voltage 4.2V. The battery is equipped with a circuit protection board and is protected by high-temperature insulating tape.

    Tear off the insulating protective film and protect the circuit on one side of the battery board.

    Silk screen DW01AT lithium battery protection IC is responsible for battery overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, etc. protection.

    02/ Baseus AirGo AS01 Earbuds Teardown

    Disassemble the earbud cavity.

    Front cavity internal speaker structure.

    There is a motherboard inside the back cavity.

    Take out the motherboard and speaker.

    The bottom structure of the front cavity, the sound hole and the tuning hole are all equipped with dust-proof net protection.

    The bottom structure of the rear cavity is attached with a bluetooth antenna and touch detection patch.

    The front of the earbud speaker is protected by a metal cover.

    After actual measurement, the speaker size is about 10mm.

    Bluetrum AB5636D bluetooth audio SoC has a built-in 32-bit high-performance RISC-V processor. Supports DSP instructions and operates at a maximum frequency of 125MHz. Built-in 8Mbits flash memory, 256KB RAM, flexible GPIO pins with programmable pull-up and pull-down resistors. Support GPIO wake-up or interrupt. AB5636D complies with Bluetooth 5.4 and BLE specifications, has a maximum transmit output power of +9dBm, a receiving sensitivity of -94dBm, and supports TWS communication power consumption with balanced efficiency.

    AB5636D has a high-performance mono DAC with a signal-to-noise ratio of 98.8dB and supports single-ended and differential modes. It has a high-performance stereo ADC with a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB. Supports 1 MIC amplifier input. Supports flexible audio equalizer adjustment. Supports 8, 11.025, 12, 16, 22.05, 32, 44.1 and 48KHz sampling rates. Supports AAC and mSBC audio decoding. Supports low-power touch keys and low-power in-ear detection. Built-in PMU such as charger/buck/LDO.

    A 24.000MHz crystal oscillator provides the clock for the bluetooth chip.

    The MEMS microphone of Laser Engraving 3307 3681 is used for voice call function pickup.

    WINSEMI WSDF2311A lithium battery protection IC. The WSDF2311 series is a highly integrated solution for single-cell Li-ion/Li-polymer rechargeable battery pack protection. It is packaged in DFN4L-1X1 and integrates an advanced power MOSFET equivalent to 55mΩ, a ±25mV high-precision voltage detection circuit and a delay circuit. It has the protection functions required by all batteries such as overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, and short circuit. Support 0V battery charging function. Low quiescent current – normal operating current 0.9μA, over-discharge standby current <10nA. CTL shipping mode setting is also supported. Lead-free and halogen-free.

    Disassemble the cavity on the other side of the earbud. There are batteries and FPC boards inside the cavity.

    Take out the components inside the cavity.

    The built-in lithium-ion battery model of the earbud is 501012, nominal voltage: 3.7V, capacity: 40mAh 0.148Wh.

    03/ Summary

    The overall volume of Baseus AirGo AS01 is lighter and lighter than earhook headphones, and is comparable to mainstream TWS earbuds. The charging case adopts a pebble-shaped and rounded design, with a simple and pure texture and is portable. The earbuds adopt an ear-clip design and weigh only 5.1g. Paired with highly elastic TPU skin-friendly earrings, it can provide different users with a comfortable, light and stable wearing experience.

    The charging case is equipped with a 400mAh lithium battery and is equipped with a circuit protection board responsible for overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent protection. The motherboard adopts TPS SY8815 bluetooth headset charging bin solution – integrated charging module and discharge module. Supporting discharge enable control, the MCU can flexibly control the chip’s discharge function directly through EN. An MCU is also used to control the entire machine.

    The earbud sound cavity is equipped with a 10mm dynamic driver and motherboard. It uses Bluetrum AB5636D bluetooth audio SoC, which complies with Bluetooth 5.4 and BLE specifications. Supports 1 MIC amplifier input. Supports low-power touch keys and in-ear detection, built-in PMU. Equipped with a MEMS microphone for voice call function pickup. There is a battery and power input board inside the rear cavity, with a battery capacity of 40mAh.
