TOZO T6 review: Upgraded APP support and battery life

TOZO has upgraded their hot selling wireless earbuds – TOZO T6, which supports TOZO APP, USB-C charging, ergonomic design and longer battery life. There are no changes in other aspects, and Active Noise Cancellation and multipoint connection are still not supported.

    Appearance Design & Comfort Fit

TOZO T6 review: Upgraded APP support and battery life

The upgraded TOZO T6 earbuds have an ergonomic design, making them more comfortable to wear, and each earbud weighs only 5.3g. The TOZO T6’s portability isn’t limited to its weight. The earbud’s compact size and lightweight design make it very convenient for daily use.

Moreover, the compact and lightweight charging case further enhances portability. It’s the perfect size to carry around comfortably and easily slips into a pocket or bag. The T6 earbuds are not suitable for wearing while sleeping – the earbuds will compress the ear canal when lying on the side.

TOZO T6 is very suitable for sports and fitness. Although there are no stabilizing earwings, they do a good job of staying in your ears during most runs or workouts. And their control scheme is easy to use, so you can easily change tracks or pause the music without interrupting your workout. They also support an IPX8 waterproof rating, although I haven’t tested it yet.

Connection & App Support & Battery Life

The earbuds uses Bluetooth 5.3 protocol and supports SBC and AAC codec. The pairing process for the TOZO T6 is very simple. When I took the earbud out of the charging case, it immediately entered pairing mode. At this time, I only needed to select “TOZO T6” in the bluetooth device list of my phone to quickly connect. When using it again, you can connect the successfully paired bluetooth device after taking out the earbuds.

There are so many sound effects to choose from – 16 preset EQs

Another benefit of the TOZO T6 upgrade is that it support TOZO APP. There are not many functions in the APP, including earbuds battery status, 16 preset EQs, custom equalizer, custom touch controls, firmware update and white noise tracks (in Explore).

Unlike traditional headphones with physical buttons, the TOZO T6’s controls use a touch-sensitive system – the touch panel is extremely responsive. This design emphasizes a modern, sleek user experience, in keeping with the earbud’s overall minimalist aesthetic. The control scheme of the TOZO T6 is very intuitive and simple, but it does take some learning time.

The battery capacity of the charging case is 400mAh, and the earbud is 40mAh. Their 12 hours of battery life can last an entire workday, and the charging case can fully charge the earbuds an additional 4 times. The case charges using USB-C or Qi wireless charging.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) & Calls

The passive noise cancellation effect of TOZO T6 is quite good, effectively blocking a large amount of environmental noise. This isolating effect is largely due to finding the right eartips. But that’s nothing compared to Active Noise Cancellation – and yes, they don’t support ANC mode and transparent mode.

Overall, while the T6’s noise cancellation through passive isolation is effective to an extent, the lack of ANC may be a consideration for potential buyers. However, this largely comes down to personal preference and usage scenarios.

Phone calls and video calls are possible on the TOZO T6, but your voice will only be loud and clear enough in a quiet area for the person on the other end to hear you clearly without noticeable distortion or background noise. Unfortunately, the wind or noise around you completely blocks your sound.

When making phone calls in noisy environments, the sound was a bit muffled and unclear. The earbuds were still able to transmit my voice, but call quality was noticeably lower than in quieter environments. They may not be the best fit for users whose main need is clear call quality in all environments.

    Sound Description of TOZO T6

TOZO T6 review: Upgraded APP support and battery life

TOZO T6 earbuds have a slightly bass-heavy sound profile. Its power is impressive, giving the music a rich and punchy character. The bass might be slightly overpowering for some listeners, especially those who prefer a more balanced or neutral sound profile.

The clarity in the mids highlighted the complexity of the song’s instrumental layers, allowing me to appreciate nuances I hadn’t noticed before. This clarity was consistent across a variety of volumes.

Treble accuracy was also commendable. The treble was crisp and clear without being piercing, making the overall sound that was rich and full-bodied.

The earbuds’ 10mm dynamic drivers combined with ORIGX 2.0 Acoustic help achieve powerful bass response and detailed imaging. The soundstage created by the earbuds, while not as vast as over-ear headphones, still provides a sense of space and directionality to the music, enhancing the overall listening experience.

My opinion is that the sound quality of the TOZO T6 is both surprising and satisfying, especially considering their price. Their performance in different aspects of sound (bass, midrange, and treble) is commendable, making them one of the great choices for a wide range of music lovers.

    Conclusion

TOZO T6 is a great pair of inexpensive true wireless earphones that are perfect for those commuting or workout on a budget. While TOZO T6 earbuds may not be comfortable to everyoneand its microphone only works well in quiet environments. But they can entertain with their powerful, pleasant sound.
