QCY H3 review: Music and tranquility go together

QCY H3 supports 43dB hybrid ANC, bimodal ear canal adaptive audio compensation, 70 hours battery life, multi-point connection, and has passed Hi-Res Audio certification. I have to say that today’s headphones are becoming more and more competitive.

    QCY H3 specs and features:
    • Bluetooth 5.3 & Multipoint connection
    • 40mm composite diaphragm dynamic driver
    • 35 – 70 hours playback of per charge (ANC on/off)
    • 43dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation
    • 68ms low-latency game mode
    • $32 – Check latest price on AliExpress, Amazon US, other Amazon countries or Banggood

Appearance Design – Comfort Fit – Controls

QCY H3 review: Music and tranquility go together

QCY H3 headphones support folding inwards, making them easier to store. The top of the headbeam is covered with a larger thickness of memory foam, which can improve the comfort of the top of the head when worn. The headhbeam provides 9 levels of telescopic adjustment, which can be adjusted to different lengths according to the size of your head to meet your needs for wearing comfort.

The earmuffs are made of imitation protein leather and are filled with slow-rebound memory foam – not only can they stay close to the ears when worn, but they will not feel stuffy. The oval design can wrap around the entire auricle, physically isolating external noise. It should be noted that the earmuffs do not support 180° rotation, only 90° rotation.

All buttons and interfaces are on the right headphone – multi-function button, volume +/- button, 3.5mm audio jack, USB-C port, microphone hole and ANC button. Press and hold the multi-function button for 2s to turn on, long press for 4s to turn off. In music mode, single-tap to play/pause, double-tap to turn on low-latency mode. In call mode, single-tap to answer/hang up, long press for 1s to reject call. Tap the ANC button to switch between ANC ON, ANC OFF and Transparency Mode. Double-tap to turn on adaptive noise cancellation (requires ANC ON).

Connection – APP – Battery Life – Game Mode

The headphone uses Bluetooth 5.3 chip and support two connection modes – Wireless Mode and Wired Mode. Also, QCY H3 supports multi-point connection, which can connect two bluetooth devices.

QCY H3 support low-latency game mode with the latency as low as 68ms. Playing games and watching videos is no problem – it works flawlessly on both Android and iPhone with perfect sound and picture sync.

The headphone has a built-in 500mAh battery, with a battery life of up to 70 hours when ANC mode is turned off, and 35 hours when ANC mode is turned on.

QCY APP supports pairing pop-up, EQ, button settings, transparency mode, ANC ON/OFF and customizable noise canceling level.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) – Calls

QCY H3 uses 43dB Hybird ANC and Bimodal Ear Canal Adaptive Audio Compensation to perform real-time adaptive noise cancellation and audio compensation – showing good noise cancellation effects in various scenarios.

The noise caused by the operation of the subway can be effectively eliminated, and the resonance sound that occurs when taking the bus can also be well isolated. When used with the QCY APP, you can choose from four noise cancellation modes: Noisy, Commuting, Indoor, Anti-wind noise. And the depth of noise cancellation can be adjusted according to needs.

In addition, QCY H3 has also optimized the call experience. H3 uses three-microphone VDCNN call noise reduction technology, which can effectively reduce background noise and improve call clarity.

Acoustic Architecture – Sound Quality Review

QCY H3 review: Music and tranquility go together

QCY H3 is equipped with a 40mm composite diaphragm dynamic driver, which has passed Hi-Res Audio certification and has high-resolution sound quality. The frequency response range of the headphones can reach 40kHz, giving us a highly restored listening experience.

The bass is thick and full without being overly prominent or broken. The restoration of mid-frequency vocals is relatively high and can accurately restore the details of vocals. The layers of vocals and instruments are distinct. The only shortcoming is that the high-frequency is not as good as the low and mid-frequency, but the details of the instruments can still be clearly appreciated.

    Conclusion

QCY H3 has a stylish appearance and excellent noise cancellation function, especially the three-microphone VDCNN call noise cancellation technology – it can provide you with clear and pure sound whether in the office or on a noisy street.
