    Huawei Nova 10 Pro

The main highlights of Huawei Nova 10 Pro include a thin and comfortable feel, a trendy color scheme, a practical and feature-rich front camera, and 100W wired fast charging. If you are a loyal user of Huawei and are more fancy in these aspects, I believe it will become one of your best communication tools.

    Appearance Design

    Huawei Nova 10 Pro

The Huawei Nova 10 Pro seems to be a tribute to the P40 and Mate 40 series released the year before. The pill dual camera in the upper left corner allows us to see at a glance that this is the shape of a Huawei mobile phone. After all, the homogeneous design of a single hole is really common now.

The phone screen is 6.78 inches, the resolution is 2562*1200, and it supports 120Hz high refresh rate. Like the P series and Mate series flagship phones, it has a curved screen design. Although the tempered film is not very friendly, it also brings a visual experience of narrow borders. The forehead and chin are narrowed, and the screen-to-body ratio on the front of the fuselage is still quite high.

The color design of No. 10 color also presents the visual aesthetics of bright silver. Although the entire rear camera module has the same star ring design as the Nova 9 series, the three rear cameras are arranged vertically. Compared with the Nova 9 series, the design language of the Nova 10 Pro has a decorative ring on the outer ring, which surrounds the star universe in the middle (that is, the star ring in the middle), which is more symmetrical in appearance.

The volume key and the switch lock screen key are located in the middle frame area on the right side of the fuselage. The fuselage weighs 191g and is only 7.88mm thick, and the middle frame area adopts an over-camber solution. I think that the over-camber design will have a better feel compared to the design of the right-angle frame. After all, many users of this phone still attach great importance to the feel of the phone.

    Photography

Photography is also a very important point for offline purchasers, so Huawei Nova 10 Pro is not ambiguous in the photography configuration. Especially for selfie and vlog users, the front camera adopts a 60MP full-focus dual-focus camera, including a 60MP ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP portrait lens. As a result, the zoom function of 0.7-5 times is realized on the front Selfie. Whether it’s a group photo, vlog video, or selfie, the front of the Huawei Nova 10 Pro can provide just the right framing screen.

Moreover, the front dual camera also incorporates QPD full-pixel precision focusing technology, which can always ensure that the focus point is locked on the subject no matter what kind of scene is used for Selfie framing. In portrait mode, it can also bring background blur close to that of SLR shooting. When shooting video, it also supports calling the front and rear at the same time for dual-camera shooting. It can be said that this pair of front dual cameras has a very wide range of shooting applications.

The combination of the rear three cameras is the RYYB 1/1.56-inch 50MP main camera and the 8MP ultra-wide macro + 2MP depth-of-field secondary camera. From this hardware combination, you should be able to understand that the key point is the photography performance of the main camera. In terms of specifications and size, the main camera should be the same Sony IMX766 as the P50 series. In well-lit scenes, the performance of the main camera is quite good. However, the image quality of the 8MP ultra-wide-angle sub-camera will be inferior, so as long as it is not necessary, I recommend that you try to use the main camera for shooting.

    Night scene proofs

Let’s take a look at night shots. Since the rear main camera of Nova 10 Pro is arranged in RYYB, it can also restore a lot of dark details in a very dark light environment. And the color performance is also close to the real, and there is no obvious color cast phenomenon. The ghosting control of the rear main camera is quite good, and the iPhone 13 series is far inferior to it. In addition, the highlight suppression in the light box area is also in place, but the glare problem is more obvious, but the imaging performance is still within an acceptable range.

It is worth mentioning that the computational photography performance of Huawei Nova 10 Pro is also excellent. Taking night scene photos directly in automatic mode can also automatically trigger the HDR multi-frame synthesis function, and there is no need to deliberately adjust to night scene mode for shooting. With the technical blessing of such an intelligent photography algorithm, taking pictures is indeed more worry-free and labor-saving.

    Phone Performance

In terms of mobile phone performance, Huawei Nova 10 Pro is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G processor and supports 4G networks. It is indeed a pity that it is not equipped with Kirin chips and 5G networks. The performance of the Snapdragon 778G processor in today’s smartphone market is not eye-catching, but in order to continue the mobile terminal business, Huawei itself also has a last resort. After all, being able to survive is more important than anything else.

Since the processor is the Snapdragon 778G, gaming performance is not the main highlight of this phone. “Genshin Impact” turned on the high-definition and 60 fps mode, and when the special effects were fully turned on, after 30 minutes of game testing, the average frame rate was 40.8 fps. “Game For Peace” failed to open 90fps mode with smooth picture quality. As for “Honor of King”, since the 120-frame mode cannot be turned on in the extreme image quality mode, under the high-definition image quality test, the 20-minute game can still run at 120 full frames.

In addition, Huawei Nova 10 Pro is equipped with game dynamic superframe technology. Through AI intelligent technology, the original 60-frame picture is inserted into 120-frame display, which can also bring smooth game pictures. It’s just that if you have to play “Genshin Impact” smoothly, try to make a little compromise on image quality or frame rate.

    Charging & Operating System

In terms of battery life, Huawei Nova 10 Pro has a built-in 4500mAh battery in order to take into account the light and thin feel, but comes standard with a 100W wired charger. When charging, simply press and hold the central area of the screen to turn on Turbo charging mode. It only takes 10 minutes to charge 60% of the battery, and 20 minutes to fully charge the battery.

Not only is the charging speed fast, but when using the phone while charging, thanks to the blessing of Huawei’s intelligent temperature control technology, the heat dissipation is more uniform and faster. This technology organically combines the global three-dimensional double VC heat dissipation structure with the ultra-high thermal conductivity graphene heat dissipation technology, and is designed through a systematic heat source distribution and heat dissipation architecture. When using it while charging, the phone will not get too hot and cause hot hands.

In addition, in terms of operating system, Huawei Nova 10 Pro currently runs Harmony OS 2.0.1 version. The deepest impression that this system version left me is that the security is very high, not only does the APP need to obtain permissions from the user to call certain functions. Moreover, in the Huawei App Store, even if the mobile phone is connected to the computer through a data cable, the verification code of Huawei Mobile Assistant is required to realize the computer’s access to the mobile phone.
