    Baseus Storm 3

For users who prefer semi-in-ear earbuds, Baseus Storm 3 provides a high-quality, high-resolution, adaptive noise cancellation experience, and has strong competitiveness among competing products at the same price. The disadvantage is that the noise cancellation performance of Baseus Storm 3 is not very good. If you need tws earbuds with good noise cancellation effect, you can consider choosing Baseus Storm 1.

    Appearance Design

The charging case adopts the shape of a rounded square box, and the white charging case adopts the spray paint process, which will present a brilliant pearl-like glow with a delicate matte texture in different light. The charging case feels smooth, with a coating on the surface, which is oil and fingerprint resistant.

The indicator light, charging interface and bluetooth pairing button are designed at the bottom, which is convenient to observe the status of the indicator light when charging and operating the buttons. I think such an intuitive design will bring more convenience to users in operation and observation.

Baseus Storm 3 adopts a semi-in-ear design, which is more comfortable than in-ear earbuds. The overall color of the earbuds is the same as the charging case, with a spray design.

The earbuds are operated by pressing, and the pressing area is designed on the groove on the side of the headset stem. Supports the recognition of three gestures, such as single press, double press, and long press.

Comfort Fit & Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)

Baseus Storm 3 is very comfortable to wear, and a single earbud weighs is 3.5g. The lightweight design has no weight on the ear, and there is no pressure to wear it for a long time. My Baseus Storm 3 is white, which is a more versatile color. There is also a black version, which I think looks more stable than white.

Baseus Storm 3 Review: Adaptive ANC, not very good of noise cancellation performance

In terms of noise cancellation, I personally feel that it is not as good as Baseus Storm 1, which is also the case from the data. The noise cancellation depth of Baseus Storm 3 is -30dB. This noise cancellation depth can ensure that I will not be disturbed in the normal office. If it is a noisy environment, the noise cancellation performance of Storm 3 is not good.

Compared with the noise cancellation experience of in-ear earbuds, Baseus Storm 3 still has a certain gap in noise cancellation depth. However, in terms of functional experience, Storm 3 does not have the ear irritation caused by in-ear earbuds noise cancellation, which can be regarded as finding a balance between wearing and noise cancellation. If you need in-ear earbuds with good noise cancellation effect, you can consider choosing Baseus Storm 1.

Baseus Storm 3 has two noise cancellation modes: adaptive noise cancellation and normal noise cancellation. The ordinary noise cancellation mode completely isolates the noise, and the adaptive noise cancellation mode can dynamically adjust the noise cancellation effect according to the environment. For daily use, I mostly choose the normal mode, the effect is better. The design of the Baseus U-shaped acoustic conduit structure is the secret of the semi-in-ear earbuds having such a noise cancellation effect. Hope Baseus can have better technology to improve the noise cancellation effect in the future.

In terms of call noise cancellation, the left and right earbuds have a total of six microphones for call noise cancellation to accurately pick up human voices. The unique windproof structure design also improves the ability of better windproof noise cancellation. Equipped with ENC call noise cancellation algorithm, allowing you to achieve clear sound reception even on noisy subways.

    Connectivity & Game Latency

In terms of bluetooth, the Baseus Storm 3 uses a Bluetooth 5.2 chip, with stable signal and good anti-interference performance. Judging from my current usage, there is no lag or disconnection, and the speed of the bluetooth connection is relatively fast. After the first match is completed, open the charging case cover and it will automatically connect with the phone quickly. Compatibility is also good, basically all digital devices with bluetooth function on the market can be adapted to Baseus Storm 3 earbuds.

The game performance of Baseus Storm 3 also surprised me. Baseus self-developed dual channel low-latency technology (DCLL), the link latency can be controlled within 60ms. The low sound latency of earbuds in gaming scenarios is only one of the advantages, and another advantage is that it can greatly enhance the gaming experience through EQ. Customize the EQ mode in the app, and directly adjust the mid-low frequency to the highest, so that the footsteps can be heard more clearly and greatly improve the on-the-spot feeling in the game.

    APP & Sound Quality

After connecting the earbuds to the mobile phone, you can set various functions of the earbuds through the Baseus APP. The main interface of the APP shows the current battery status of the device, the noise cancellation switch and various sound effects options. The second page of the APP is a preview of the location of the earbuds, and also provides the Find Earbuds function to make the earbuds sound. On the third page of the APP, users can upgrade the earbuds firmware and customize the control method.

In terms of sound selection, the Baseus APP provides up to 12 sound effects for Baseus Storm 3. It covers different adjustments such as song style switching, tri-frequency switching, etc., providing users with a wealth of sound effects options. In the third interface, users can choose whether to enable in-ear perception, low-latency mode, and custom gesture control.

Baseus Storm 3 Review: Adaptive ANC, not very good of noise cancellation performance

Baseus Storm 3 is equipped with a 10mm double-layer composite diaphragm dynamic driver, which has been professionally tuned by Baseus acoustics. In terms of actual sound quality, I listened to several songs of different styles and talked about the subjective sound quality of earbuds. In order to experience the true performance of earbuds, set the EQ to acoustic mode and turn off active noise cancellation.

The overall sound style of earbuds is clear and transparent, the sound field is relatively open and extended, and it has good resolution and dynamic performance. The sound level and sound details are all interpreted in place, and the three frequencies are balanced. The low-frequency quantity sense is sufficient and the extension is moderate. The performance of the mid-high frequency is the best, and the sound is transparent and pure without harshness. For friends who like low-frequency style, they may feel that the low-frequency quantity is not enough. You can cooperate with EQ mode to enhance the low frequency effect.
