Speaking of bone conduction headphones, I believe that music lovers who like sports must know it well. Its working principle is actually very simple. That is, compared with traditional non-ear or in-ear headphones, bone conduction converts sound into mechanical vibrations of different frequencies, and then transmits sound waves through the human skull, bone labyrinth, inner ear lymph, spiral organs, and auditory center. Finally, the position where the earphones are attached between the cheeks and the ears can achieve the effect of listening to music without putting them in the ears.

The reason why bone conduction headphones have a large number of fans, in addition to being convenient to carry and not affecting exercise, there is another advantage because it is not inserted into the ear canal at all, so in principle, even if you listen to songs for a long time, it will not cause hearing loss. Secondly, the open way of listening to music, especially for sports enthusiasts, does not affect the transmission of external sounds, and especially ensures our safety during sports.

Today I will introduce you to a very well-known audio brand, it is HIFIMAN. Just a few days ago, a new product was launched: HIFIMAN GR8 wireless bone conduction headphones. The current price of an e-commerce platform is only 249 CNY, which is very cost-effective.

    HIFIMAN GR8

As for the HiFi circle, no one does not know HIFIMAN. Its planar diaphragm headphones can be said to be the leader in the HiFi circle and have exclusive technical patents. In terms of sound quality, it is naturally HIFIMAN’s strengths, so HIFIMAN GR8 itself is also a music headphone.

On the top of the right hand side of the HIFIMAN GR8, there is a control button, in which the power button and the volume + button are integrated. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn on, and you will hear the voice prompt of “POWER ON” in the headset. After power on, the LED lights flash red and blue alternately, and it enters the pairing state.

Find “HIFIMAN-GR8” in the bluetooth setting interface of the mobile phone and click connect to successfully pair. After connecting, the LED will turn to blue light flashing at intervals, and “CONNECTED” can be heard in the headset. Double-click the volume-after booting, you can change the prompt tone language (only support Chinese and English switching).

The bottom of the control button module is the Type-C charging port of the HIFIMAN GR8 bone conduction headphones. However, the battery life of this headset is up to 7 hours. In the case of greater than 60%), it is completely possible not to charge for half a month.

Also note that there is a call/end button on the back of the right earphone sound unit. Setting the call button separately makes it easier to answer and hang up when receiving a call during exercise.

    HIFIMAN GR8

HIFIMAN GR8 is very comfortable to wear, and it is natural to hang it directly on the back of the head. The body is made of a memory titanium alloy frame, which can be twisted at will, and it can be restored immediately after letting go.

HIFIMAN GR8 weighs only 33g and adopts ergonomic design. It will not fall off at all for normal sports such as running, jumping, table tennis, tennis, etc. Playing badminton with friends, during the whole exercise process, I did not feel any signs of HIFIMAN GR8 falling off.

    HIFIMAN GR8

HIFIMAN GR8 bone conduction headphones also support IPX4 waterproofing. For the sweat produced in light rain and sports, it will not affect the use of the earphones if it soaks into the earphones.

Stable connection with mobile phones or other music sources within 10 meters, bluetooth 5.0 connection is also fast, stable, and reliable. The 7-hour long battery life also makes outdoor sports more comfortable, without the anxiety of charging. The measured sound quality of the call is very clear, and it has a certain degree of noise filtering and noise reduction effect.

In terms of sound quality, they are bone conduction headphones after all, so the low frequency is smaller than in-ear headphones, but the low frequency of HIFIMAN GR8 can still give you a very deep and comfortable feeling. For example, NightWish’s more passionate Gothic music sounds very rhythmic. The most distinctive feature of HIFIMAN GR8 is the mid-frequency vocal, which is very durable.
