Appearance Design, Comfort and Battery Life

The charging case is slightly larger than the TWS earbuds, but it can still fit into a bag or pocket. The overall weight is 74g, and the earbuds use magnetic charging. The battery capacity of the charging case is 450mAh, and the earbud is 60mAh. The single battery life is up to 9 hours, and the total battery life is up to 35 hours.

The SoundPeats GoFree2 earbuds are made of liquid silicone, which is very friendly to the skin. The earbuds adopt an open-ear design, so you don’t have to worry about feeling oppressive. The appearance design and wearing method are very similar to JBL Soundgear Sense – maybe the appearance design of open-ear sports wireless earbuds of the future will be similar.

GoFree 2 is ergonomically designed, and the adaptive earhook fit the auricle well. Weighing only 9g, combined with the three-dimensional design of balanced gravity distribution, it achieves lightweight wearing and stable fit – you will not feel ear pain after wearing it for few hours.

    Connectivity and APP Supports

The earbuds uses the Bluetooth 5.3 chip and supports SBC/AAC/LDAC codec. The connection method is the same as TWS earbuds. Also, SoundPeats GoFree2 support multipoint connection, which can connect two bluetooth devices.

GoFree2 supports SoundPeats APP for Android and iPhone. There are relatively few functions in the APP, but they are very practical. Includes the following main functions: volume control, adaptive EQ, preset EQ (8 items), custom EQ, game mode, disable touch control, multipoint connection, etc.

    Games and Video Playback

The SoundPeats GoFree2 plays videos without issues on both Android and iPhone. There’s lipsync performance in video apps like YouTube and AppleTV.

The GoFree2 also has a dedicated gaming mode you can activate from the Android and iPhone app. The latency is as low as 60ms, this helps to synchronize the sound effects with the action on your screen.

    Sound Quality of SoundPeats GoFree2

SoundPeats GoFree2 review: Suitable for gaming, sports and workouts

GoFree2 earbuds have a built-in 16.2mm dynamic driver, adopt bass enhancement technology and directional sound transmission technology, and have passed Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. Support LDAC codec, the highest bit rate reaches 990kbps, close to lossless sound quality.

The soundstage is relatively open, the sound separation is good, and there is a certain thickness. The effect of mid-frequency vocals is very prominent, and it is more suitable for listening to songs with male voices.

The low-frequency is surging and powerful, and the layering is rich and distinct. The high-frequency is delicate and translucent, the vocals are clear, and the layering is obvious.

    Conclusion

LDAC codec, game mode, multi-point connection, dual MIC call noise cancellation, and IPX5 waterproof rating are all the selling points of SoundPeats GoFree 2. It is comfortable to use in sports, workouts, gaming and commuting scenarios.
