At the “2020 FiiO Winter New Product Launch Conference” held on December 12, FiiO released the latest UTWS3 true wireless bluetooth earhook. This product is an upgraded version of FiiO UTWS1. The difference is that it is equipped with an independent headphone amplifier chip, the output power is increased by four times, and the noise floor is greatly reduced.
FiiO UTWS3 true wireless bluetooth earhooks are suitable for users with interchangeable HiFi headphones. The interface supports MMCX and 0.78mm, corresponding to different body models. In order to ensure the comfort of the product, the ear hook soft rubber has a memory titanium wire implanted in it, which can be worn firmly. In addition, the individual weight of the product is only 6.5g.
Consistent with previous generation products, FiiO UTWS3 bluetooth chip uses Qualcomm QCC3020 chip solution, supports bluetooth 5.0, supports aptX, AAC, and SBC audio formats, and is suitable for Apple and Android devices. The biggest feature of this bluetooth solution is that it supports Qualcomm TWS + dual transmission. With an Android phone, bluetooth signals can be directly transmitted to the left and right earphones, instead of being divided into master and slave as before. This not only ensures the balanced power consumption of the left and right headphones, but also reduces the delay. In terms of volume adjustment, it supports 26-level volume control, independent of the phone volume.
The FiiO UTWS3 bluetooth earhook has a large-area button, which can be controlled by a dedicated mobile app or OTA firmware upgrade. In addition, the new product has been upgraded to two microphones on one side, with cVc intelligent noise reduction technology, making calls clearer. The earhook body also supports IPX4 life waterproof, which can resist daily water splash and sports sweat.
The biggest difference between FiiO UTWS3 and the previous generation is the built-in TPA6140A2 headphone amplifier chip from Texas Instruments. The output power under 16Ω load is increased by 270% to 38mW; the output power under 32Ω load is increased to 25mW, which can drive most high-end HiFi headphones well. . In addition, the addition of the amp chip also reduces the noise floor by 70%, reaching below 8uV.
The headphone charging case also has a built-in 800mAh high-capacity battery, the headphone body has a battery life of 5.5 hours, and the charging case can last up to 20 hours.
It is understood that the FiiO UTWS3 bluetooth earhook will be released at 10 am on December 18 at a price of $60.
