Appearance Design: Thick Body
The overall visual effect of the Redmi 12C is not bad, except that the material is a bit cheap, and the grip is quite comfortable. For a product that costs around $100, using plastic as the body material is unquestionable. But the surprise is that Redmi’s polishing and spraying of the frame is not bad. All the openings of the fuselage are also relatively accurate, and the connection between the buttons and the frame is also more detailed. The matte texture of the middle frame makes the texture of aluminum alloy.
The overall curvature of the back of the phone is good, which fits the palm of the hand. Although it is made of plastic, texture is created by uneven lines. On the one hand, it is for better visual effects, and on the other hand, it is not easy to slip when holding it with one hand.
The imaging module design of the mobile phone is also quite ingenious, and its shape is similar to that of the Redmi K40. Due to the addition of the fingerprint recognition module, the imaging module is slightly larger – but the overall visual effect is more advanced. The front of the fuselage is a 6.71-inch LCD water drop screen with the resolution of 720P. Although the display effect is not particularly delicate, the look and feel is still good, and it can also reduce the rendering pressure of the processor – it is beneficial to improve fluency, reduce power consumption and enhance battery life. In the AnTuTu benchmark test, the Redmi 12C scored 281697 points. Geekbench 6 has a single-core score of 408 and a multi-core score of 1277. Although this result is not particularly outstanding, it is already considered a leader in the $100 price range. With the advantages of the MIUI 14 lightweight system, it is enough for everyone to avoid the problem of freezing when using the Redmi 12C.

In terms of imaging, it is also the focus of Redmi 12C’s improvement. It has been upgraded from the single camera of the previous generation to the high-pixel dual-camera solution. The two rear cameras of the Redmi 12C are a 50MP main-camera and a 5MP sub-camera. It not only supports night scenes and time-lapse, but also support 50MP high-pixel shooting, which can bring you more detailed picture details.
In the daytime samples, the main camera of Redmi 12C is still very stable. The overall exposure is reasonable, the color reproduction is more accurate, and it has a very delicate image quality. While having a delicate imaging quality, the details of the subject can also be seen at a glance – even when zoomed in twice, the details of the building are still clearly visible.
Among the many products priced at $100, the biggest advantage of Xiaomi Redmi 12C may be reflected in the system – even if the processor performance is not so powerful, it can be optimized to become smooth. Moreover, the 5000mAh battery, 3.5mm headphone jack, physical fingerprint recognition, memory expansion and other functions are all preserved, allowing users to reduce usage costs as much as possible in the later use process.
