Appearance Design & Comfort Fit
The surface of the charging case adopts a metal spraying process, which presents a frosted texture as a whole. The front is an LED light bar, and the back is a USB-C charging port. The color of the LED strip can be modified in the APP, and there are 8 colors to choose from. 5V1A USB-C charging interface, although the speed is not fast, but the compatibility is very good.
The design style of NeoBuds Pro 2 earbuds is consistent with the charging case, irregular oval shape + metal matte texture – the overall style is tough and recognizable. The built-in in-ear detection sensor can intelligently sense the wearing status of the earbuds, automatically pause the music when it is taken off, and resume playback when it is put on.
The wearing comfort of Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2 is very good. In particular, it is equipped with 7 sets of eartips, which is convenient for different users to freely choose suitable ear tips according to the size of the ear canal, so as to achieve better results in terms of comfort and physical noise cancellation.

Connection & App & Gaming & Battery Life
The earbuds uses the Bluetooth 5.3 chip that supports SBC, LDAC and LHDC codecs. When connecting for the first time, just select “Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2” in your phone’s bluetooth device list to connect quickly. Open the charging case for subsequent use to connect to a successfully paired bluetooth device.
Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2 support low-latency game mode. Playing games and watching videos is no problem – it works flawlessly on both Android and iPhone with perfect sound and picture sync.
The Edifier Connect App support both Android and iOS devices. The function of the APP is very rich, simple and practical. When you press and hold the pair button to complete the bluetooth pairing, the following functions will appear in the App:

The single battery life of the earbuds is up to 6 hours, and the total battery life is 18 hours. I think the total battery life is the biggest disadvantage of Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2 – there are very few high-price TWS earbuds with short battery life on the market. After turning on the ANC mode, the battery life is only 4.5 hours.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) & Calls
Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2 is powerful in noise cancellation. In addition to physical sound insulation and noise cancellation by replacing 7 sets of eartips, it also has 6 noise cancellation modes to choose from: Depth Noise Cancellation, Comfort Noise Cancellation, Mild Noise Cancellation, Ambient Mode, Wind Noise Mode and ANC OFF.
Thanks to Edifier’s original patented noise reduction technology – Wide-Band Multi-Channel ANC, it has achieved the comprehensive noise cancellation depth of -50dB and the noise cancellation width of 5kHz. In actual use, the noise cancellation effect on vocals, keyboard sounds, horn sounds, baby crying sounds and snoring sounds are very obvious.
Deep noise cancellation has a good noise cancellation effect in buses and subways. Although the Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2 cannot completely eliminate the noise of subway running, the sound after noise cancellation is acceptable. Of course, the strong penetrating low-frequency noise can still be felt slightly.
In addition, what impressed me more is the ambient mode. When turned on, I could clearly hear car engines, bike bells, and more. From personal experience, the effect of its ambient mode is very close to the transparency mode of AirPods Pro 2.
Also, the ambient mode also provides options for highlighting vocals, balancing, and highlighting background sounds to meet the needs of different scenarios. For example, when crossing the road, we can turn on the background sound. When talking, you can highlight the vocal and help everyone avoid missing important content.
Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2 is equipped with 4-MIC + 4-MIC call noise canceling technology. With the support of wind noise detection mechanism and AI smart voice pickup algorithm, it can fully filter external noise and wind noise, greatly improving the clarity of vocal and fidelity. The wind noise and wheezing are especially loud when I make calls while running. After turning on the wind noise protection mode, the call is very clear, and the noise reduction effect is very obvious.
Sound Description & Spatial Audio
Inherited the iconic acoustic patent of Edifier NeoBuds Pro – digital frequency division + hybrid drive technology. Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2 earbuds use the 10mm composite diaphragm dynamic driver+Knowles armature driver – the hybrid driver is currently the best solution for mid-to-high-end wireless earbuds. After the LHDC/LDAC high-definition codec is turned on, it support 192kHz/24bit audio transmission.
In “Into the Water”, NeoBuds Pro 2 presented a very clean treble and full mid-frequency.
In “He’s a Pirate”, the composite diaphragm dynamic driver can highlight the momentum of the music very well, except that the low-frequency slightly lacks some air sense , the others are still good.
Overall, the mid and high-frequency are clear and bright. The low-frequency extension is deep, full and powerful. The sense of presence is good, the music resolution is high, and rich details are presented.
Also, three music modes are provided in the APP. Among them, the pure mode is the default, and this mode is tri-frequency equalization, which is relatively listenable. The dynamic mode enhances the low-frequency performance, which is more suitable for listening to rock music. The audiophile mode is a custom mode, which allows professional users to customize their own EQ according to their needs.
Edifier NeoBuds Pro 2 also incorporates head tracking + multi-dimensional spatial audio technology. Turning on spatial audio can make you feel more three-dimensional when listening to music. When the head is turned, the audio will also change with the turn. Coming from different directions, distances and depths, the immersion in listening to audio is very good. Especially good if you turn it on while watching movie – the immersion is great.
