Short videos are so popular now, because mobile phones are convenient and the entry threshold for shooting is low, and everyone is more willing to use mobile phones to shoot. However, it is not so stable to shoot with a mobile phone in hand, and it is inconvenient to shoot Vlogs at low angles, and it is not possible to quickly follow up. So the mobile phone gimbal is also born with the trend. I also briefly experienced the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 smartphone gimbal for the first time, and I was still impressed by several functions.
1st: Compared with the DJI Osmo Mobile 5, the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 adds a small display, which can directly check the remaining power and the currently used gimbal mode.
2nd: The separate “M” button has been moved to the right of the display. And the “M” button has the function of switching the PTZ mode, you can switch the PTZ mode with one key when shooting. The display can directly see the current PTZ mode.
The gimbal mode has four modes: gimbal follow, tilt lock, FPV and rotation shooting. The most commonly used is the first one, which can be used for daily photography, landscape photography, and exhibition photography.
3rd: A trackwheel is added to the side. Compared with the focal length adjustment method of the button, the trackwheel is more convenient to focus and the zoom is smoother.
4th: Selfie follow mode. It can lock the face, wherever the person walks, it will follow the shooting and lock you firmly all the time. Paired with a tripod on a table, it’s great for live streaming.
In addition to locking people, you can also directly select the target to shoot on the screen, and you can also intelligently track and shoot.
5th: Selfie function of DJI Osmo Mobile 6. There is a built-in extension rod, about 21cm, which can be pulled out directly and used as a selfie stick. Shooting Vlog from the first perspective, the distance is also more suitable.
6th: Magnetic quick release design. The design of the magnetic suction is very convenient to take the mobile phone, with a buckle, and has a strong suction force, the mobile phone will not fall off. And I can also replace it with a magnetic quick-release plate with a fill light, which can turn on the light in a dark place.
Of course, the key to the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 is that it is small, light, and easy to carry. It is less than 19cm when folded and weighs about 309g, so it can be put in a backpack or pocket. Most mobile phones on the market can be used, and mobile phones weighing less than 290g can be used without problems.
