Recently, Baseus released its first dual-mode wireless connection TWS earbudsBaseus AeQur G10. Support Bluetooth 5.3 and LE Audio transmission protocol (dongle), with the full link 25ms ultra-low latency. At the same time, it support dual-mode coexistence, and can connect two devices – when one device is playing games, the other device will automatically switch when a call comes in.

Baseus AeQur G10 support game sound effect mode, and through Baseus fixed-point positioning acoustic technology (BPT), it can truly restore the movement trajectory of the sound, bringing a sense of hearing as if you were on the scene. It also supports live music mode, through Baseus self-developed spatial sound effect (BISA), to create a stereo sound effect of the music scene. In terms of calls, it is equipped with 4-MIC call noise cancellation technology, which can enhance human voice in real time, filter environmental noise, and bring high-definition voice call effect.

The earbud has a single battery life of up to 7 hours, and the comprehensive battery life of 25 hours. Support Baseus instant flash charging (BRC) – charging for 10 minutes, listening to music for 2 hours. In addition, through the Baseus APP, functions such as function control, preset adjustment, and map positioning can also be performed.

01/ Baseus AeQur G10 Charging Case Teardown

Disassemble the charging case and take out the charging cockpit structure.

The inner structure of the charging case shell is equipped with an adapter to hide the storage compartment structure, and two magnets are set to realize adsorption and fixation.

The bottom structure of the cockpit, the main board is fixed by screws.

The back structure of the cockpit is equipped with FPC connection function buttons and Hall elements. The battery is fixed inside the cockpit.

Remove the screws, remove the motherboard and battery, and there is an FPC connection indicator below.

The charging case is a metal dome connector for earbuds charging.

INJOINIC IP5333 multifunctional power management SoC – integrates functions such as boost converter, lithium battery charging management, battery level indicator and TYPE-C protocol, providing a complete solution for TWS charging case. IP5333 is very suitable for the application of intelligent two-way communication warehouse with gradually increasing demand at present, and can provide the function of opening and connecting.

IP5333 only needs one inductor to realize charging and boosting function. Low cost inductors and capacitors can be supported. The synchronous boost system of the IP5333 provides a rated 1A output current with a conversion efficiency as high as 92%. At light load, it will automatically enter the sleep state, and the quiescent current will drop to less than 20uA. IP5333 adopts switch charging technology, provides a rated 1A charging current, and the charging efficiency is as high as 91%.

IP5333 has built-in IC temperature protection and input voltage intelligent regulation of charging current. IP5333 built-in 12bitADC can accurately measure battery voltage and current. Support 1/2/3/4 LED power display. The high integration and rich functions of IP5333 make it require only a few peripheral devices in application, and effectively reduce the size of the overall solution and reduce BOM cost.

The peripheral boost inductor of the power management chip is used to boost the battery to charge the earbuds.

Prisemi P14C1S Overvoltage and Overcurrent Protection IC – The input withstand voltage is up to 32V, and the overvoltage protection point is fixed at 6V. The overcurrent protection point can be set through the peripheral resistor, and the minimum precision is 10mA. Moreover, the response time of overcurrent protection can be adjusted through the cooperation of capacitors, which can meet the overcurrent protection requirements of various adapters and various projects. In addition to the above functions, the SOT23-6 package is compatible with most simple overvoltage protection ICs on the market.

The motherboard is connected to the ZIF connector of the FPC. Another FPC is also connected through a ZIF connector.

Remove the FPC on the cockpit.

Another micro button on the FPC is used to control the bluetooth pairing function.

The Hall element of silk-screened AR3A1 is used to sense the magnetic field change when the charging case is turned on/off, and then notify the charging case MCU and earbuds to pair or disconnect the connected device.

The charging case has built-in lithium-ion battery silk screen information, model: 701835, nominal voltage: 3.7V, charging limit voltage: 4.2V, capacity: 400mAh 1.48Wh, from Baseus.

Battery protection board circuit – equipped with DW01A lithium battery protection IC and 8205A MOS tube, responsible for battery overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent and other protection. A thermistor is also provided for detecting the battery temperature.


02/ Baseus AeQur G10 Earbuds Teardown

Disassemble the earbuds part and open the earbud cavity along the parting line. On the right is the speaker inside the front cavity.

There is a battery inside the rear cavity, which is isolated from the speaker by a sponge pad.

Take out the speaker. The pressure relief hole and tuning hole inside the front chamber are protected by dust-proof nets.

On the front of the speaker, the diaphragm is protected by a metal cover.

The back of the speaker is connected to the FPC.

After actual measurement, the size of the speaker is about 10mm.

Remove the battery inside the back cavity. The battery lead and the speaker FPC are connected to the earbud stem main board respectively.

The earbud uses a steel shell button battery, which is wrapped and protected by high-temperature insulating tape. Battery model: M1154S2, nominal voltage: 3.7V, energy: 0.185Wh, from MIC-POWER.

Take off the back cover of the earbud stem. The inside of the cover is provided with a bluetooth antenna and a touch detection sensor.

03/ Adapter and Converter Teardown

Remove the adapter back cover. The FPC antenna is fixed on the inside of the cover for wireless communication with earbuds.

The motherboard circuit inside the cavity. There are two round magnets on both sides of the main board and the charging case is fixed.

The adapter is equipped with Actions ATS3031 bluetooth audio SoC inside. Cooperating with the ATS3031 chip inside the earbuds, it realizes two-way high-definition voice transmission with an ultra-low delay of less than 25ms and a sampling rate of 48KHz.

04/ Summary

In terms of appearance, the charging case of Baseus AeQur G10 adopts a transparent case cover, an open cockpit, and supports adapter storage. The adapter is small and convenient, with a modular design, and can be perfectly matched with the charging case and the adapter. Equipped with three sizes of soft silicone eartips, providing a comfortable and stable wearing experience.

In terms of internal configuration, the charging case has a built-in Baseus 400mAh lithium battery, and a protection board is provided to protect the battery from overcharging, overdischarging, and overcurrent. The INJOINIC IP5333 multi-function power management SoC is used on the motherboard, which integrates functions such as boost converter, lithium battery charging management, battery power indicator and TYPE-C protocol, providing a complete solution for TWS charging case. The Type-C port is equipped with Prisemi P14C1S overvoltage and overcurrent protection IC.

The earbud is equipped with a 10mm dynamic driver and a MIC-POWER 0.185Wh steel shell button battery. The main control chip is Actions ATS3031 bluetooth audio SoC, which supports dual-mode coexistence of LE audio and classic bluetooth. Connecting with an adapter can bring ultra-low latency of less than 25ms and two-way high-definition voice transmission with a sampling rate of 48KHz. A single earbud is equipped with two MEMS microphones, with noise cancellation algorithm, to achieve clear call effect.

Actions ATS3031 bluetooth audio SoC is also used inside the adapter. Cooperate with the ATS3031 chip inside the earbud to realize high-quality wireless audio transmission with low power consumption, low latency, and low loss, and provide terminal products with a smooth game experience with sound and picture synchronization.
