According to the list published by the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple has recently obtained a technical patent entitled “Measuring the Virtual Listening Environment”, numbered US 20230104111 A1.

It is known from the patent description that users may listen to audio or video content in different scenarios such as in the car, on the grass, in the classroom, on the train or in the living room. Apple wants the headphones to be able to dynamically adjust the acoustic output according to different environments.

Apple wants AirPods to offer better audio processing. Based on the characteristics of human auditory perception, using computer and digital signal processing technologies, through microphones and spatial audio functions, the same sound pressure as the real scene is simulated at the user’s eardrums, giving people an “immersive” experience experience.
