In fact, when it comes to bone conduction headphones, I have to tell a story about my wife. One day, my wife who came back from exercise told me that wearing in-ear headphones is very inconvenient to exercise. When running, there will be the sound of earphones rubbing against the ears, which is very uncomfortable. So I bought her a Dacom G56, which is a bone conduction headphone with built-in MP3. After using it, my wife was very satisfied, saying that this earphone is the most suitable earphone for running.

After a few days, my wife told me that Dacom G56 is not suitable for daily wear. Because it can’t filter the external noise. Unexpectedly, recently Dacom actually took this issue into consideration and launched a Dacom Gemini G100 with replaceable headphone heads, one main unit and two headphone heads. Using a bone conduction headset head becomes an open bone transmission headset, and using a dynamic headset head becomes an immersive dynamic headset.

    Packaging and appearance

Compared to most of the headset packaging on the market, the packaging of Dacom Gemini G100 can be regarded as luxurious. The first is the full-color exterior packaging, printed with the brand LOGO, product name and model wearing renderings. Open the package shell, there are hand-drawn design drawings of the earphones inside, as well as more model drawings and instructions for use of the icons. To be honest, from the design of this packaging, you can see Dacom’s trust in the quality of this headset.

The appearance design of Dacom G100 is not much different from previous bone conduction headphones. The color scheme has changed. This time there are three color schemes: star black, deep black blue, and flame red, which are more fashionable and more suitable for young people. I like to be low-key. I chose starry black hair color. I didn’t expect my wife to say that black is the best. It blends with my hair and is not abrupt at night.

In addition to the luxurious packaging, the accessories are also the most luxurious of the hundreds of dollars of headphones I have seen. In addition to the host with a bone conduction head, it is also equipped with a replaceable pair of moving coil heads, Type-C charging cable, leather storage bag, memory foam earplugs and product manuals.

    Dual headphone head design

The biggest feature of Dacom Gemini G100 is that it supports dual-mode use. The bone conduction headphone head and the dynamic headphone head can be switched freely. And the design of this switching method is very advanced, directly using the 3.5mm headphone jack design, when switching, you only need to select the corresponding L/R position to insert it.

Dacom Gemini G100Dacom Gemini G100 Let’s talk about the two headphone heads separately. Let’s talk about bone conduction first. It uses a 12.8mm wide-band bone conduction sound unit, which is suitable for sports use. The headphone head is also equipped with a green atmosphere breathing light, which can be switched on and off freely.

The dynamic head adopts a 13mm full-frequency composite large dynamic driver, semi-in-ear design, and is equally comfortable to wear. The earphone supports EQ switching, standard mode three-band equalization, natural voice, smooth and smooth listening. In the dynamic mode, it will burst out with a thicker bass and a more rhythmic sense, which is specially designed for sports.

    Wear and sound quality

In terms of wearing, the Dacom Gemini G100 headphone neckband is made of high-strength titanium alloy material, which can be bent casually without deformation, and can be worn well regardless of the size of the head. Bone conduction earphones are very suitable for exercise, and the wearing comfort is very good. In addition, the earphones are very light, and there is no pressure to wear for long periods of exercise.

In the dynamic mode, the earphone also adopts a half-in earphone design, coupled with the neck-hung design, there is no pressure inside the ear, and it also has a good wearing experience.

    Dacom Gemini G100

In terms of hearing, the overall performance of Dacom Gemini G100 is pretty good. Bone conduction mode, listening to Cai Qin’s “渡口”, the opening drums can feel clear drum beats, the volume and texture are not bad, and when listening to that kind of DJ dynamic music, the live performance is also good.

I also tested the sound leakage problem that everyone is concerned about. Outdoors, when the volume is medium, I can hear it clearly, and I can’t hear the sound at all from the earphone 50cm away. The sound leakage is well controlled. In the dynamic mode, the sound effect is much better than in the bone conduction mode, the bass is more surging and powerful, and the vocal performance is better, the resolution is stronger, and it is very contagious.

    Battery life and features

In terms of battery life, in the bone conduction mode, you can play music continuously for 8 hours, while in the dynamic mode, the battery life is up to 20 hours. Dacom Gemini G100 has two built-in microphones, coupled with dual-mic ENC call noise reduction algorithm, which can effectively filter environmental noise.

The actual measurement is used on the bus, and the voice of both parties in the conversation is very clear when listening to the other party. In terms of waterproofing, this headset supports IP56 waterproof, so you don’t have to worry about damaging the headset in daily light rain or sweating.

    Summary:

As a professional headset R&D and manufacturing company, Dacom is indeed quite strong. The Dacom Gemini G100 bone conduction dynamic earphones launched this time are the first earphones in the industry that support bone conduction earphones and dynamic earphones, and can switch between different headphone heads. A pair of headphones, two enjoyments, use bone conduction mode if you need comfortable exercise, use dynamic mode if you need high sound quality enjoyment, free switching, perfect enjoyment, it is worth buying.
