FIIL Belt is a bean-shape semi-in-ear sports earbuds with good comfort and stability – and an exclusive “night running mode”. Unfortunately, they don’t support Active Noise Cancellation.

FIIL Belt specs and features:
  • Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC/AAC codec
  • 6 hours playback of per charge
  • Charging case can charge earbuds fully 4 times
  • IPX4 waterproof rating (rain and sweat resistant)
  • A.I. ENC call noise cancellation

Design, Comfort and Battery Life

The surface of the charging case is made of matte non-slip material, which feels good to the touch. The appearance is designed by the German DA team. Especially the rubber flip strap on the charging case, which can be tied up for decoration and can be used as a lanyard when put down.

FIIL Belt earbuds have a unique BHIE shape and are the first bean-shape semi-in-ear wireless earbuds on the market. They fit snugly around the pinna, similar to sleep earbuds – small and comfortable. Friendly reminder – because it is a sports headphones, try to adjust the appropriate angle when wearing them, so that it will be more stable.

When worn correctly, the stability is very good, and it did not fall off when jumping rope or violently shaking the head. The earbuds are sweat-proof and have an antibacterial coating on the surface. It is said that the antibacterial rate is as high as 98.3%, so it is relatively safe to use it frequently, and it will not cause ear canal infection.

FIIL Belt support night running mode, which can be turned on through earbuds. In the night running mode, you can set three lighting effects: breathing, flashing and constant lighting. 6 colors can be set for flashing and constant lighting effects, and 3 colors can be set for breathing mode.

The battery capacity of the charging case is 400mAh, and the earbud is 30mAh. The single battery life is up to 6 hours, and the total battery life is up to 30 hours. It takes 1.5 hours to fully charge the charging case.

Connectivity, Calls, Game and Video Playback

The earbuds uses the Bluetooth 5.3 chip and support SBC and AAC codec. When connecting for the first time, just select “FIIL Belt” in the bluetooth device list of the mobile phone to connect quickly. Also, FIIL Belt support multipoint connection function, which can connect two bluetooth devices at the same time.

Unfortunately, FIIL Belt does not support Active Noise Cancellation and is not suitable for listening to music in shopping malls and subways. But they support AI call noise cancellation, which can better reduce environmental noise and improve the clarity of vocal. I exercised in a noisy park and was not disturbed while on the phone.

FIIL Belt support low-latency game mode and music mode. Playing games and watching videos is no problem – it works flawlessly on both Android and iPhone with perfect sound and picture sync.

Sound Quality: Fuller Bass

FIIL Belt is equipped with TDDC acoustic system independently developed by FIIL (bass enhancement tube + double damping cavity). An extra acoustic cavity compensates for the low-frequency leakage of the semi-in-ear earbuds, making the low-frequency extension deeper, the bass more full, and the details richer. For a sports earbuds, better bass hearing will also create better sports passion.

Overall, the sound quality of FIIL Belt is still very good. The low-frequency extension is deep, giving me a very full feeling, and the details are also very rich.

The performance of vocals and high-frequency are quite satisfactory – not amazing. Among TWS earbuds under $50, FIIL Belt also has advantages.

Verdict

The FIIL Belt is a great earbuds for sports – whether running, exercise or yoga, they suitable for use in a variety of scenarios.
