Appearance Design & Comfortable Fit

The surface of the charging case is made of matte material, which is not easy to be stained with fingerprints and is more resistant to scratches. The overall design is black and yellow, and there is a yellow star ring waistline that runs from the front to the back at the opening. Below is the status indicator, and in the middle is the iQOO brand logo. On the back is the hinge connecting the upper and lower parts, and the bottom is the circular function button. The earbuds are semi-in-ear design with short headset stems. The earbuds use a bright surface material opposite to the charging case, and are still designed in black and yellow contrasting colors. The upper end of the headset stem is the touch operation area.

The left and right earbud chambers each have two pressure relief holes/tuning holes, which allow air to flow freely and prevent pressure buildup. At the same time, it brings better sound quality and bass effect. The earbuds use a semi-in-ear design, which is fully and meticulously optimized for the key areas that touch the ear. After actual measurement, the overall weight of iQOO TWS Air is 37.7g. Combined with the small and compact size, it is easy and stress-free for daily use and carrying.

The iQOO TWS Air earbuds achieves weight reduction layer by layer through dual innovations in design structure and material, reorganizing the antenna position, greatly shortening the headset stem, and adjusting the layout of the center of gravity. After actual measurement, the weight of a single earbud is only 3.5g.

Connectivity & Calling

iQOO TWS Air uses Bluetooth 5.2 technology, which has good compatibility and connection stability. Support AAC audio decoding, more sound details can be preserved when listening.

When connecting for the first time, just select “iQOO TWS Air” in the bluetooth device list of your phone to quickly connect. For subsequent use, open the charging case to connect to the paired bluetooth device. The earbuds can be charged by placing them in the charging case and automatically disconnected when the cover is closed.

When used with the vivo/iQOO mobile phone, it supports the one-key quick connect function. Connect to other mobile phones or tablets logged in with the same vivo account, and the connection will pop up automatically when the cover is opened.

After connecting, you can view the device connection status and remaining battery power in the settings, and customize the settings for functions such as shortcut operations, sound effects, Jovi voice and translation mode.

The earbud has two microphones up and down, which can capture human voice more accurately. With the AI call noise cancellation algorithm and the L-shaped anti-noise conduit, the anti-noise capability can be greatly improved. Whether it is indoor exercise, running or cycling, it can restore the clean human voice after noise removal in a noisy environment. The sound is clearer whether it is a call or a game. The IP54 dustproof and waterproof rating also allows earbuds to cope with the invasion of sweat and rain.

iQOO TWS Air uses an ultra-low-power wireless chip with comprehensive power management optimization. The earbuds have a single battery life of up to 4.8 hours, and a combined battery life of up to 25 hours with the charging case. In addition, iQOO TWS Air supports fast charging function, charging for 10 minutes and listening to songs for 1.5 hours. It takes about 60 minutes to fully charge the earbuds.

In terms of game latency, iQOO TWS Air has also achieved system-level low-latency optimization. With the new antenna design, the full link delay is reduced to a minimum of 94ms. Let the audio and video be synchronized at all times, and the response is one step faster.

Acoustic Configuration & Sound Quality Review

iQOO TWS Air has a built-in 14.2mm bio-carbon fiber composite diaphragm dynamic driver. Support more sound details brought by AAC codec to jointly improve the sound quality.

Vivo Acoustics Lab and esports enthusiasts jointly tuned. The APP provides five sound styles: Standard, Bass, Clear Voice, Clear Treble, and Monster Sound. Monster Sound is a specially added sound style for iQOO TWS Air. The low-frequency response is improved, the mid-high frequency is flexibly reduced, and the interference of overtones is reduced, bringing a more realistic and immersive experience to the game.

In the actual experience session, I randomly selected some popular songs for audition. iQOO TWS Air can well present the sense of space and the layering of music. In use, you can clearly feel that the earbuds have a delicate and rich sense of hearing and strong analytical power. The low frequency is strong and powerful, the intermediate frequency is rich in layers, the vocals are clear and full, and the high frequency is clear and translucent. Monster Sound e-sports sound effects bring immersive realism to the game. Whether it is listening to music or playing games, it can bring satisfactory sound quality performance.
